Mees comes to Australia after finishing second to Marc Marquez vandroid t2 at the recent Superprestigio flat track race in Spain, also attended by Bayliss. The Troy Bayliss vandroid t2 Classic is an invitation-only event, and Mees becomes the third AMA competitor confirmed for the event, behind Henry Wiles and Halbert, who is returning for another go after a crash while fighting for the lead last year dropped him down the order.
I m looking forward to racing the Troy Bayliss Classic, Mees said. It s something I have had my eye on and always wanted to try out. I did my first race outside of America at the Superprestigo in Spain recently and look forward to racing Troy and the others in January in Australia.”
