The worm wood-velocity mobile by Nico van Baar Johan Vrielink given the idea of offering a wooden velomobile as a DIY kit. It is not yet clear whether this is successful, but in his blog you can read how excited he is about the idea and what preparations are being made there. Since I can not Dutch ground and the Google translations are a bit bumpy, all without guarantee. Apparently it will be presented at the Velomobile Seminar 2012 and later may be knnte kuflich. but the seat is a car! If you look closely you can see sooo, since the picture was taken quite clever. Only the Schrfentiefe does not exactly more tips, I will not give similar shapes but also as a pedal car go when the package the "engine" the oar patchogue (extremely long stroke two-cylinder single-row engine transversely mounted) taken into account. Despite the website and read the comments here has used it a long time until I realized: the fauna presents its design, the oar patchogue it is not the decoration. I did recognized the similarity to a women's shoe immediately. The sleek, curved shape filled the oar patchogue me in any case very good ...... And design .... design can also be seen.
Despite reading [...] the comments here Perhaps BECAUSE of the comments here I thought by the name in the link is the clear ... Incidentally, she has also won a prize with two other students for the development of pipes made of balsa and silk. Q: hochschulgruender.net Drfte so well can teach one or the other or something. The tubes of the bicycle consist of rolled / glued veneer strips: ftp://ftp.fh-biberach.de/pub/www/IfH...rich_Ziege.pdf The combination of balsa and silk is another project of the same school. Ralf mfG
Crap, I thought my idea was inovativ .. I have done the same .. 1.5 mm beech veneer rolled up like a roll of toilet paper shoved into a Sanitrrohr and, from the inside with NEM bicycle tire pressure. Very solid, the oar patchogue beautiful and extremely light pipes were the result. the oar patchogue Pipes made of balsa + Silk is another implementation of my balsa + hemp fleece skin. Balsa has pretty good strength properties, but it is buttery soft. To protect the surface finish you need a tough "skin" which can generate good with hemp + casein. So you can even build bent / curved tube shapes without them are too difficult. My "duck" should be set up so in the meantime, the cost of materials ended up being quite large and complex construction, with the violin case in principle gehts so large pipes easier / fixed / faster. But is also a Besttigung, since you are on the right track, right? It dignity wonder if that has never been done before. What do you mean what's in this
